Domaine Sainte Eugénie was founded in 1906 located in Bizanet, in the area of Fontfroide, the sweet spot of Corbières (Languedoc-Roussillon, France.) It possessed 60 Hectares (148 Acres) of amazing varietals like Carignan, Grenache and Syrah (AOC), Merlot (Vin de Pays) and Cinsault (Rosé ). To top it all off, some of the vines were as old as the domaine (over 100 years old)!

A pivotal encounter with José Ratero in 1991 persuaded Hervé Gantier to invest himself in his life calling for wine. José had been managing Domaine Ropiteau in Meursault (Burgundy) for 10 years at that time, and shared his enthusiasm. Hervé also involved his cousin, Patrick Brignoli, who was then President of an event company called Group Event. After a few years of investigating and a great deal of thinking, the three partners decided to take over the Domaine.

The domaine nowadays exports 50% of its total production of 24,000 cases in the USA, England, China, Belgium, Switzerland and Japan.
