Jean-Louis Raillard took over this small family estate in 1989 while keeping the values of respect for the terroir and wine. He’s “the son of the DRC who grew up in the DRC was born in DRC." His parents worked in DRC. Since his childhood, He witnessed the bottling of the DRC every year, and he’s one of the few man who has the right to taste it. The small family-owned winery locates in the heart of the village of Vosne-Romanée. The vines aged over 50 years are conducted in rational control with tillage and crafts very neat. Manually harvested grapes are vinified in small volumes manually Pigé s and wine is matured in oak barrels from 12 to 14 months. His wines inherit all of the essence of DRC which express the purity and finesse of Pinot Noir while maintaining a great aging potential.
